Faculty Senate Committees

The Faculty Senate of the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, conducts much of its work through a network of standing and special committees. These committees are composed of Faculty Senators, ex officio members, and various representatives who collaborate to advance the university’s mission of teaching, research, and service.

Each committee focuses on specific areas such as academic policy, faculty welfare, diversity and inclusion, and campus operations. Together, they identify emerging issues, review existing practices, and develop recommendations that are brought before the Senate for consideration and action.

This collaborative structure ensures that the voices of faculty and students are represented in university governance and decision-making.

For more information about the purpose, membership, and current initiatives of each committee, please visit the individual Faculty Senate committee pages.
